Mach-Aire has designed a range of pharmacy and pharmaceutical grade isolators providing an enclosed environment in which to separate operators from their processes. All our high quality isolators are manufactured to meet European Standard ISO 14644-7: 2004.
Our range of ICT (negative pressure) and IPP (positive pressure) pharmacy isolators contain newly developed features allowing each isolator to meet both the containment and aseptic needs of hospital pharmacists.
Available in either two or four glove formats with ICT or IPP designs, our isolators are suitable for a range of applications including dispensing cytotoxics, parenteral nutrition and other sterile infusion products.
Mach-Aire offers a range of Class I, II or III cabinets in a variety of standard widths from 1m to 1.8m.
Class I cabinets are suitable for low to medium risk work, with the operator working through the front aperture. Class II units have a downflow of HEPA quality air giving both the operator and product protection, and are available in ducted or recirculation air format, similar to the Class I unit. Class III cabinets are totally enclosed, requiring the operator to work through glove ports when handling high risk products.
Powder Containment Booths
Powder containment booths and benches are used to control the hazardous emissions of powders, dust or vapours during powder dispensing, drum tipping, product sampling, blend mixing or bag dispensing, without risk to the operator or environment.
Manufactured from high grade stainless steel or in a combination of stainless steel and epoxy coated mild steel, they comply with the strictest requirements of both UK COSHH (Containment Of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations and MCA GMP (Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Distributors).
Laminar Flow Cabinets
Where non-pathogenic materials or micro-small components require product protection from externally generated contamination, our various ranges of laminar flow cabinets offer high quality protection.
Constructed from polished stainless steel or epoxy-coated mild steel with on-board filtration, they provide optimum levels of working cleanliness at cost-effective prices.
Vertical Laminar Flow Cabinets
The vertical unidirectional airflow characteristics provide HEPA filtered non-turbulent air over the entire work area. Although this type of cabinet is designed primarily to provide product protection only, (dependent upon the model type) acceptable levels of operator protection can also be achieved.
Horizontal Laminar Flow Cabinets
Horizontal laminar flow is still widely used throughout the clean air markets and it is one of the simplest and most effective methods of controlling contamination. The operator’s contamination is kept down-wind of the critical process as they work on the bench top.
Suitable for direct location onto the laboratory bench or alternatively, mounted on its own support frame, this cabinet (similar to the vertical cabinets) can be supplied with a vast variety of optional features.
Vertical Downflow Enclosures
A quick, convenient and cost-effective way of providing ultra-clean working environments over large floor areas (without the need to build a clean room) is to provide a vertical airflow module.
Subject to their size and shape they can be self-supporting, mobile or suspended from the main structure.
Mach-Aire offer weigh stations designed specifically for the weighing of fine powders in the laboratory. The low flow solution provides exceptional containment allowing the user to weigh out using balances with up to six decimal places of accuracy.
Our weigh stations can be fitted with integral filters to prevent powders from entering the exhaust system. Alternatively, an integral fan or filter can be applied to recirculate the air from the laboratory space. All weigh stations are fitted with real time flow indication.
